Frequently asked questions
Everything we expect tournament directors to ask before submitting a campaign. If the answer you need isn’t here, the campaign history page lets you see live status on anything you’ve submitted.
Drafts auto-generate in about a minute after you submit, and you review and approve them right in the app. Once you approve, it's automatic — no waiting on our team: your audience is built and your sends are scheduled right away, timed to your tournament's registration-close date, and each email's exact send date appears on your dashboard. Send dates depend on the campaign type you picked — a 60-day series sends about 60, 30, and 10 days before registration closes; a 10-day last-chance campaign sends about 10 days before; standalone emails send on the exact date you pick in the form.
Nothing upfront. No setup fee, no retainer. After your campaign completes, we invoice 20% of the net-new registration revenue it generated.
If your campaign drives no new revenue, you don't owe anything. And the revenue number we bill from is the same one on your live dashboard — you're never invoiced from a number you haven't seen.
Your First Card is the first tournament ad players see on the PickleballTournaments.com homepage — the top spot, shown to players near your event. It's created automatically with your email campaign, so there's nothing extra to build, and it's covered by the same performance-based pricing: no separate charge.
Featured Tournament is different — a separate $100/month upgrade that lists your event under the 🔥 Featured filter on PickleballTournaments.com search.
No. Featured is the one piece you pay for up front — a flat $100/month — because the placement is guaranteed, not tied to results: your event sits in the 🔥 Featured filter (the first filter position on PickleballTournaments.com search) and in the Featured section on the tournaments home page.
Your email campaign and First Card stay performance-based: we invoice 20% of the net-new revenue we drive, and nothing if it drives nothing. You can add Featured during campaign submission or request it on its own from the Featured page.
It depends on how far out your registration-close date is. 60+ days before registration closes gets up to 3 emails — announcement, mid-campaign, and last chance. 30–59 days gets 2. 10–29 days gets 1. Under 10 days, we can't accept.
You review each draft in the app right after submission — you can approve as-is or flag factual errors (wrong date, wrong link, wrong divisions, etc.). Flagged drafts regenerate automatically with your corrections, up to 3 regenerations per email. We don't support free-text editing of copy or design — those are part of what our system handles — but the structured corrections flow gets you to accurate facts every time.
Open My campaigns (top menu), enter the email and last name from your submission, and we'll email you a secure link to your dashboard. The link expires in 30 minutes for your security — but once opened, your dashboard stays signed in on that device for 24 hours, and you can request a fresh link anytime.
The dashboard is live: each email's status and exact send date, delivered and open counts once it goes out, and the clicks and registrations your campaign is driving.
Pickleball.com's player network — people who've already opted into hearing about tournaments, geo-targeted to players within range of your venue. Not cold outreach, not purchased lists.
Yes. Submit your tournament's PickleballTournaments.com URL and we extract the details from the page.
Requires an active pickleball.com club account with a payment method on file.
After your registration closes, we reconcile the revenue your campaign drove and our accounting team invoices your organization on Pickleball.com — allow at least 5 business days after your close date. To review and pay it, sign in at Pickleball.com, open your organization’s Manage page, click Financials, then Platform Fees. We never charge your card automatically up front — the card on file is only charged if the invoice is still unpaid when it comes due (or if a large balance accrues).
Featured Tournament placement is the exception in timing, not mechanics: it's invoiced when you request it, payable the same way, and the listing goes live 1–2 business days after the invoice is paid.
Add your notes when you submit. Our team uses them as input — sponsor logos to highlight, divisions to emphasize, prize-money callouts, etc.
We polish and finalize the copy ourselves. The submission notes shape the direction; we don't take dictated copy.
Open your dashboard via My campaigns, find the campaign, and use “Report a change” (also available on the campaign's detail page). Our team will review and adjust as needed.
For billing inquiries, invoicing, account questions, or anything related to your subscription, reach our sales team at sales@pickleball.com. For tournament-related questions (status, drafts, changes), use the in-app tools — your team won't see emails about workflow questions.
